Finally wiping her eyes, still chuckling, she grins at Snow. It's a mischievous, daring kind of grin. Anyone from her home would recognize it as the one preceding either another brush with death or taking a bet too far--usually both.] Thank god you went to her and not me. I swear she was going to be driven nuts by my trying to usurp every newsman in the newcomer population.

And at least you're actually in television work by trade and not like me or Clark, or Parker. That's just brilliant. Triple-N.

[Lois approves.]

[Snow grinned, glad that she was grinning at her rather then looking at her like she was crazy.]

I thought it might be good. [Laughs.] And I'm glad you think so, too.

[Oh, Lois thinks it's crazy--and all but a dare against the whole city.

She likes these kinds of battles.]

Good is one word for it. Great. And you've talked to Rochelle--do we need to sit down and have a brainstorm session on how to make this work?

I've talked to Rochelle, but all three of us sitting down together couldn't hurt.

Great. I may know a decent coffee shop we could meet at. Rumor has it they have good baked goods.

[So Lois likes her caffeine and sugar. Alcohol, too. At least she got herself off nicotine some years ago.]

That sounds great. What time is good for you?

Tomorrow's Sunday--if neither of you guys object, we might as well get this off the ground a-sap. I'm good with whenever mostly, though--I could do with a change of pace.

How about sometime around three? I have something to get done in the morning.
