Clark had to smile when he saw Lois and Conner finally make it into the water. Conner took her hand and assured her that she was safe, because he was a very good swimmer.

Wanting to let them bond, Clark moved a little further away, giving the appearance that he wouldn't be able to hear anything they said to each other. So far, it was mostly Conner giving Lois swimming tips, so it wasn't like he was intruding on their privacy or anything...
